parents notice board
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it
Parents are children’s first and most enduring educators. When parents and education service providers work together the result is a positive impact on children’s learning.
Your Partnership
Parents are the most important people in their children’s lives, it suffices to say that children learn a lot from them, other adults and care givers in their life. The context and continuity between different settings in which this learning occurs is set by these people and the home environment is one that greatly influences how learning occurs. We leverage on this understanding by deliberately forging closer links with our parents and the close and better the links the more effective learning and care becomes. Parents/guardians are encouraged to build and maintain the close links and be available during our joint forums so that together we can optimize our children learning and development. On our part we aim to maintain regular contact with our parents to help us build a secure and beneficial working relationship for their children’s gain while at the same time being responsive, open and sensitive to emerging learning needs. |
We issue regular newsletters, updates and written communication to inform on key developments and school routine. For example children events, term dates, parent’s workshops and open days. In addition, we have parent-teacher sessions, when parents privately review their children progress and generally discuss their children’s daily school routines and opportunities for improvement with their child’s key professional staff in school. Another important avenue of communicating to our parents about their children’s school day routine and activities covered is the Child’s Diary which we maintainfor every child. Parents are encouraged to provide value adding feedback and any other pertinent information about their child. At this time and age, emails are a fast and effective way of communicating and Kinderstart would wish to contribute to the green efforts to save the earth by using environmentally friendly communication channels. So register your email address with us and together we save our environment on printing paper. |
key person
- We are all aware that abuse occurs in our society and it is the responsibility of each parent/guardian to introduce a key person who may be sent to pick a child at school. Kinderstart will not release a child or pupil to anyone not introduced and their appropriate records availed and maintained at school for cross reference.
- All our staff are professional and disciplined children carers and are aware and bound by our Due Care Policy (DCP) that define welfare and safety of every child as their paramount objective and duty.
